Age Limit : Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL)

• Supervisors: The upper age limit prescribed for the post shall not exceed 45 years as of 12 July 2024 i.e. applicants should be born on or after 13 July 1979.
• Office Assistants: The upper age limit prescribed for the post shall not exceed 30 years as of 12 July 2024, i.e. applicants should be born on or after 13 July 1994.
• Booth Operators: The upper age limit prescribed for the post shall not exceed 30 years as of 12 July 2024, i.e. applicants should be born on or after 13 July 1994.

Qualification : Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL)

A. Supervisors

1. Supervisor (Mechanical)

• a) Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Or b) ITI (NTC) in Welding trade or Sheet metal worker trade or Bench fitter or Fitter trade or Plumber trade from the State Board of Technical Education.
• Desirable: Post-diploma qualification in NDT will be an added advantage.

2. Supervisor (Electrical)

• a) Three-year Diploma in Electrical or Electronics Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Or
• b) ITI (NTC) in Electrical or Electronic trade from a state-recognized Industrial Training Institute

3. Supervisor (Painting)

• Essential: a) Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry OR Threeyear Diploma in any branch of Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. OR b) ITI (NTC) in any trade from a state-recognized Industrial Training Institute.
• Desirable: Any certification in surface protection will also be considered as an added advantage

4. Supervisor (Scaffolding)

• a) Three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education. Or
• b) ITI (NTC) in Welding trade or Sheet metal worker trade or Bench fitter or Fitter trade or Plumber trade from the State Board of Technical Education.

5. Supervisor (HR)

• Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (other than Fine Arts or Performing Arts) or Science or Commerce or Computer Applications or Bachelor of Social Work, or Business Administration, with a minimum of 60% of marks from a recognized University.

B. Office Assistants

• Essential: Bachelor’s Degree in Arts (other than Fine Arts) or Science or Computer Applications with a minimum of 60% of Marks from a recognized University.
• Desirable: Proficiency in Computer Applications like SAP, MS Project, MS Office, etc.
• Experience: Minimum of two years postqualification experience in Shipyards or Engineering Companies or Commercial Organizations or Government / SemiGovernment Companies/ Establishments.

C. Booth Operators

• Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Painter or Electrician or Fitter.
• Experience: Minimum of three years post qualification experience/training in the relevant trade.

Application Fee : Udupi Cochin Shipyard Limited (UCSL)

• i) An application fee of ₹ 300/- (Non-refundable, plus bank charges extra) should be remitted using the online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking) which can be accessed through our Online application facility from 19 June 2024 to 12 July 2024. No other mode of payment shall be accepted.
• ii) Applicants belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC)/ Scheduled Tribe (ST)/ Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) need not pay the application fee. They are exempted from payment of the application fee.
