Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC GD Syllabus & Exam Pattern for the post of constables along with official notification of SSC GD Recruitment 2024. The SSC GD syllabus and exam pattern for SSC General Duty post of Constables (GD) exam is set by the SSC. With the help of SSC GD exam pattern and syllabus, candidates can make a strategy for the exam preparation in a systematic manner. SSC GD Syllabus 2024

SSC GD Constable Exam Pattern 2024 [Revised]

As per the SSC GD Constable Exam pattern, the Tier 1 exam is an online, multiple-choice based exam.

• The exam consists of 4 sections with 80 questions in total.
• The duration for the SSC GD Constable Tier I exam is 60 minutes.
• The Computer Based Examination (CBE) is conducted in bilingual languages – English and Hindi only.
• There is 0.50 negative marking for every incorrect answer in the SSC GD online test.
• The questions asked in the online examination will be of High School (10th) level.

SSC GD Constable PET

The candidates who score more than the cut-off marks for the SSC GD Online exam will be eligible to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test for which the standards have been set by SSC.

For Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• For Male Candidates : 05 km in 24 minutes, 1.6 km in 6 ½ minutes
• For Female Candidates : 1.6 Km in 8(1/2) minutes, 800 metres in 4 minutes.

Note: Pregnancy at the time of PET will be considered a disqualification and pregnant female candidates shall be rejected at this stage.

The Ex-servicemen who will be shortlisted in Computer Based Examination will have to appear in PET/PST stage for recording measurement of height, chest and weight only. PET will not be held for these Ex-servicemen candidates. Further, they will have to qualify for medical Examination (DME).

SSC GD Constable PST

For Physical Standard Test (PST)

Candidates who pass the written exam candidates need to appear for the physical standard test (PST) along with the PET exam. The candidate who fails to qualify for the PST their candidature will be cancelled.

• Male: 170 cm
• Female: 157cm

Chest

• Male candidates should have the following standards of chest measurement:
• Un-expanded: 80 cms
• Minimum expansion: 5 cm
• Few categories of candidates are allowed relaxation in chest measurement. Relaxed standards of chest measurement for such candidates are as follows:

SSC GD Medical Test

After qualifying for the physical standard and efficiency test (PET/PST) candidates will be called for the Medical examination. The medical standard is given in the table below. If you fail the medical exam you will be given one more chance to get yourself medical fit.
