- There is 0.50 negative marking for every incorrect answer in the SSC GD online test.
- The questions asked in the online examination will be of High School (10th) level.

The candidates who score more than the cut-off marks for the SSC GD Online exam will be eligible to appear in the Physical Efficiency Test for which the standards have been set by SSC.
For Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- For Male Candidates : 05 km in 24 minutes, 1.6 km in 6 ½ minutes
- For Female Candidates : 1.6 Km in 8(1/2) minutes, 800 metres in 4 minutes.
Note: Pregnancy at the time of PET will be considered a disqualification and pregnant female candidates shall be rejected at this stage.
- Male: 170 cm
- Female: 157cm
- Few categories of candidates are allowed relaxation in the heights mentioned above. Relaxed standard of height for such candidates are as follows:
