Age Limit : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024

• a) The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall not exceed 30 years as on 18 November 2024, i.e. applicants should be born or after 19 November 1994.
• b) Age relaxation for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) and Ex-servicemen shall be as per Government of India guidelines subject to a maximum of 45 years.

Qualification : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024

1. Outfit Assistant (Fitter)

• Essential: Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Fitter.
• Desirable: Ability to communicate in Hindi/Bengali.
• Experience: Minimum of three years post qualification experience in the relevant trade.

2. Scaffolder

• Essential: - Pass in SSLC and ITI (NTC) in Sheet Metal Worker/Fitter Pipe (Plumber)/Fitter with one- or two-years’ experience/training in general structural / scaffolding / rigging work. Or Pass in SSLC with a minimum of three years’ experience/training in general structural / scaffolding / rigging work.
• Desirable: Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Bengali.

• (i) Application fee of ₹ 300/- (Non refundable, plus bank charges extra) for this post should be remitted using the Online payment options (Debit card/Credit card/Internet Banking /Wallets/UPI etc) which can be accessed through our Online application facility from 30 October 2024 to 18 November 2024. Selection Process : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024

• For Outfit Assistants, the method of selection shall include Phase I – Objective type test and Phase II Practical Test whereas for Scaffolders, the method of selection shall be through Practical test and Physical test which shall be given 100% weightage and marks awarded accordingly.
