In case of selection on contract basis after completion of training as mentioned at Clause V above, the consolidated pay may be as below:

• First Year : Rs.22,100 (Consolidated pay per month) Rs.5,530 (Compensation for extra hours of Work)
• Second Year : Rs.22,800 (Consolidated pay per month) Rs.5,700 (Compensation for extra hours of Work)
• Third year : Rs.23,400 (Consolidated pay per month) Rs.5,850 (Compensation for extra hours of Work)

Age Limit : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024

• a) The applicant’s age shall be minimum 18 years and maximum 23 years as on last date of online application (31 December 2024), i.e. date of birth of the applicants shall be any date in the period 01 January 2002 to 01 January 2007 (both dates inclusive)
• b) The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates in seats reserved for them.

Selection Process : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024

• The method of selection shall be based on Physical Test for 100 Marks. Candidates who are meeting notified eligibility requirements shall be short listed for Physical Test. The candidate should produce the original certificates during certificate verification along with self-attested copies in proof of identity, age, educational qualification and certificates for reservation categories (SC/OBC/EWS). CSL shall call sufficient number of candidates for verification of certificates in the order of merit, so as to get candidates in the minimum ratio of 6 candidates against one seat for the Physical test. The candidates shall produce all required certificates in original along with self-attested copies at the time of Certificate Verification failing which they shall not be considered for shortlisting to attend Physical test.
• Only those candidates who successfully complete the certificate verification shall be shortlisted to attend the Physical test. In case the number of applicants are more, CSL reserves the right to conduct a screening test (written test) for preparing a shortlist in the ratio 1:6 for appearing for physical test.
• The minimum pass mark for Physical test shall be as below:- i) For unreserved seats & for EWS candidates– 50 marks ii) For OBC Candidates – 45 marks iii) For SC Candidates – 40 marks
• Rank list shall be prepared based on the Physical test. In case, same marks secured by more than one candidate, the order of rank list will be based on seniority in age.
