• Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B): Pay Matrix Level-6(Rs.35,400 - Rs.1,12,400) as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix and other benefits/allowances as per extant Govt. of India rules.
• Technician-A (Tech-A): Pay Matrix Level-2 (Rs.19,900 - Rs.63,200) as per 7th CPC Pay Matrix and other benefits/allowances as per extant Govt. of India rules.

Age Limit : DRDO CEPTAM Recruitment 2026

• Candidate must be between 18-28 Years of age, as on crucial date of eligibility i.e. 01.01.2026 (upper age limit relaxable as per extant Govt. of India rules). Date of birth as filled by the candidate in the online application form should be as per 10th /Matriculation Certificate and no subsequent request for change will be considered.

1. Senior Technical Assistant-B (STA-B)

• B.Sc. or 3-year Diploma in relevant Engineering discipline from recognized university/institute (as per post code)

2. Technician-A (Tech-A)

• 10th Pass + ITI Certificate in relevant trade from recognized institute
• Candidates possessing higher qualifications (M.Sc., B.Tech, B.E., Ph.D. etc.) as on crucial date of eligibility (01.01.2026) are NOT eligible
• Result-awaited candidates as on crucial date are NOT eligible

Refundable Fee: An amount of Rs.500/- shall be refunded only to those candidates who appear in Tier-I CBT.

Note: Ex-servicemen who have already secured employment in civil side under Central Government on regular basis after availing of the benefits of reservation given to Ex-servicemen for their re-employment are NOT eligible for fee waiver. Such Ex-servicemen have to pay fee according to their respective category., Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.

Selection Process : DRDO CEPTAM Recruitment 2026

• The selection process will comprise of Computer Based Test (CBT) Tier-I and Tier-II followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination.
• Tier-I (CBT): Provisional selection on the basis of marks obtained in Tier-I exam.
• Tier-II (CBT): Trade/Skill Test (for Technician-A) or Descriptive Test (for STA-B) – qualifying in nature.
• Final selection will be based on combined merit of Tier-I and Tier-II marks (where applicable) and subject to medical fitness.
