• The monthly consolidated pay during the first year of contract is Rs.27,000/-, and an annual increase shall be applicable in the subsequent years. They will also be eligible for extra hours of work, beyond normal work hours.

• Pass in X Std and possess Valid Light Motor Vehicle Driving License.
• Experience: Minimum 10 years experience as a Driver, out of which at least 1 year experience as Staff Car Driver for Senior Officers such as Chairman & Managing Director (CMD), Director, Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO), Chief Executive Officer (CEO), or Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs)/State Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) or officials of equivalent rank in the Central/State Government.

Selection Process : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2026

a) The method of selection shall be through Practical Test (100 Marks).

b) Depending upon the number of online applications received, CSL reserves the right to scrutinise applications for the post and prepare shortlist of candidates based on meeting eligibility requirements ascertained through the certificates uploaded by the applicants in the online application portal and only such shortlisted candidates may be permitted to attend the selection process.

c) Candidates who successfully complete the certificate verification shall be shortlisted to attend the Practical Test.

d) The minimum pass mark for Practical test shall be as below:-

• For unreserved post - 50% of Total Marks,
• For OBC Candidates - 45% of Total Marks.

e) The selection shall be subject to verification of eligibility requirements (age, qualification, experience, reservation etc.) for which the candidate should produce the original certificates in proof of age, qualification, experience and certificates for reservation categories along with self-attested copies at the time of Certificate Verification, failing which they shall not be considered for further selection.

f) Rank list for the post shall be prepared based on the marks secured by the candidates meeting the notified eligibility requirements and who pass in Practical Test. In case, same marks are secured by more than one candidate, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age.
