• Pay, Allowances and Allied Benefits. Agniveervayu enrolled under this Scheme will be paid an Agniveer package of ₹30,000/- per month with a fixed yearly increment. In addition, Risk and Hardship allowances (as applicable in Indian Air Force), Dress and Travel allowances will be paid. Perks such as ration, clothing, accommodation and Leave Travel Concession (LTC) shall also be provided as per the existing rules.
• Terminal Benefits - Seva Nidhi Package. AGNIVEERVAYU will be given one time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package comprising their monthly contribution along with matching contribution by the Government on completion of their engagement period, as indicated below: -

Age Limit : Indian Air force Agniveer Recruitment 2026

• Candidates born between 01 July 2005 and 01 January 2010 (both dates inclusive). The upper age limit on the date of enrolment must be 22 years.
• Marital Status & Pregnancy: Only unmarried candidates are eligible. They must undertake not to marry during the 4-year engagement. Female candidates must undertake not to get pregnant. Becoming married or pregnant during service will lead to dismissal.

Qualification : Indian Air force Agniveer Recruitment 2026

1. Science Subjects

• Candidates should have passed Intermediate/ 10+2/ Equivalent examination with Mathematics, Physics and English from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR 
•  Passed Three years Diploma Course in Engineering (Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile/ Computer Science/ Instrumentation Technology / Information Technology) from Central, State and UT recognised Polytechnic institute with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Diploma Course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Diploma Course). OR 
•  Passed Two years Vocational Course with non-vocational subject viz. Physics and Mathematics from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation, if English is not a subject in Vocational Course).

2. Other than Science Subjects

• Passed Intermediate / 10+2 / Equivalent Examination in any stream/ subjects from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR 
•  Passed two years Vocational Course from Education Boards recognised by Central, State and UT with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50 marks in English in Vocational Course (or in Intermediate/ Matriculation if English is not a subject in Vocational Course). 

Mandatory Medical Standards

• Height: Minimum 152 cms for both males and females. For female candidates from the North East or hilly regions of Uttarakhand, the minimum is 147 cms; for Lakshadweep, it is 150 cms.
• Chest: For males, the minimum circumference is 77 cms with an expansion of at least 05 cms. For females, the chest wall must be well-proportioned with a minimum expansion of 05 cms.
• Weight: Proportionate to height and age.
• Hearing & Dental: Normal hearing (forced whisper from 6 meters). Healthy gums and a minimum of 14 dental points (No points for implants).
• Visual Standards: Visual Acuity of 6/12 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye. Hypermetropia maximum +2.00, Myopia maximum -1.0. History of LASIK/PRK is not accepted.
• Body Tattoos: Permanent body tattoos are generally not permitted, except on the inner face of forearms, back of the hand/reverse side of palm, and specific tribal tattoos.

Selection Process : Indian Air force Agniveer Recruitment 2026

Phase-I (Online Test): Objective type, bilingual (English & Hindi).

• Science Subjects: 60 minutes (Physics, Maths, English as per 10+2 CBSE syllabus).
• Other than Science: 45 minutes (English, Reasoning & General Awareness - RAGA).
• Science & Other than Science: 85 minutes (Physics, Maths, English, and RAGA).
• Marking Pattern: +1 for correct answer, 0 for unattempted, -0.25 for wrong answer.

Phase-II (At Designated ASC): Documents verification, followed by:

• Physical Fitness Test (PFT-1): 1.6 Km run within 7 minutes for males, and within 8 minutes for females.
• PFT-2 (Male): 10 Push-ups (1 min), 10 Sit-ups (1 min), 20 Squats (1 min).
• PFT-2 (Female): 10 Sit-ups (1 min 30s), 15 Squats (1 min).
• Adaptability Test-I & II: Objective written tests to assess suitability for the military lifestyle.

Phase-III (Medical Examination): Medical tests including blood, urine, biochemistry, ECG, and X-Ray investigations.
