- Technician Grade-I Signal (Pay Level-5) : Initial Pay of Rs.29,200
- Technician Grade III (Pay Level-2) : Initial Pay of Rs.19,900
- Technician Grade I Signal: 18 to 33 years.
- Technician Grade III: 18 to 30 years.
- OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) : 3 years.
- PwBD (UR/EWS) : 10 years; PwBD (OBC-NCL) : 13 years; PwBD (SC/ST) : 15 years.
- Ex-Servicemen (UR/EWS) : 3 years after deduction of military service.
- SC & ST : 5 years.
Qualification : RRB Recruitment 2026
1. Technician Grade I Signal
- B.Sc. in Physics / Electronics / Computer Science / IT / Instrumentation OR a 3-year Diploma/Degree in Engineering in these core branches.
- Matriculation/SSLC plus ITI/Course Completed Act Apprenticeship (CCAA) from NCVT/SCVT in the relevant trade (such as Fitter, Electrician, Wireman, Welder, Machinist, etc. depending on the category).
Application Fee : RRB Recruitment 2026
- For all general candidates (except those eligible for concessions listed below): Rs.500. Out of this fee, an amount of Rs.400 will be refunded (minus applicable bank charges) upon appearing in the Computer Based Test (CBT).
- For candidates belonging to SC, ST, Ex-Servicemen, PwBD, Female, Transgender, Minorities, or Economically Backward Class (EBC): Rs.250. This entire fee of Rs.250 will be refunded (minus applicable bank charges) upon appearing in the CBT.
Selection Process : RRB Recruitment 2026
The selection will be based on a Computer Based Test (CBT) followed by Document Verification (DV) and a Medical Examination.
Negative Marking: There will be a deduction of 1/3rd mark for every incorrect answer.
CBT for Technician Grade I Signal (Pay Level 5): * Total 100 Questions; Duration 90 Minutes.
- Syllabus: General Awareness (10 Qs), General Intelligence & Reasoning (15 Qs), Basics of Computers & Applications (20 Qs), Mathematics (20 Qs), and Basic Science & Engineering (35 Qs).
- Syllabus: Mathematics (25 Qs), General Intelligence & Reasoning (25 Qs), General Science (40 Qs - 10th standard physics, chemistry, life sciences), and General Awareness (10 Qs).
