SSC MTS Syllabus for General Awareness
Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current affairs and of such matters of everyday observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, Static GK etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
- A total number of marks is 100 as per the latest pattern.
- Paper- I will be objective type(Multiple Choice Questions).
- The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
- The timing for Visually handicapped cerebral palsy candidates is 120 Mins.
SSC MTS Syllabus for Paper-II (Descriptive)
Paper 2 will be a descriptive test in which the candidate has to write a short essay or letter in English or any other language mentioned under the 8th Schedule of the Constitution.

- Paper- II will be descriptive in nature.
- Timing for Visually handicapped cerebral palsy candidates is 45 Minutes.
- This exam is qualifying in nature.
- It is intended to test the elementary language skills of the candidates to be suitable for the post.
