Salary Details : RRB ALP Recruitment 2024
As per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay scale, the starting salary for an Assistant Loco Pilot ranges from Rs. 19,900 to Rs. 35,000 per month. This amount may vary depending on the place of posting and other allowances. The selected candidates will be entitled to Level 2 of the Pay Matrix Level 2, with an initial pay scale of INR 19,900 along with other allowances including-
- House Rent Allowance (HRA)
- Dearness Allowance (DA)
- Running Allowance (Based on the km travelled)
- Transport Allowance
- New Pension Scheme (10% Deduction) etc.
Age of applicants for RRB ALP (Assistant Loco Pilot) post should be within the age limit given below:
- Minimum Age: 18 years
- Maximum Age: 30 years
Qualification : RRB ALP Recruitment 2024
Candidates applying for the post of RRB ALP must have the following educational qualifications to be eligible for the respective posts.
- Matriculation in the trades of armature and coil, as well as SSLC and ITI from accredited NCVT/SCVT institutions Electrician, Fitter, Heat Engine, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist, Electronics Mechanic, Winder Diesel / Millwright Maintenance / Motor Vehicle / Mechanic / Mechanic Radio and TV / Air Conditioning and Refrigeration / Tractor / Turner / Wireman. OR
- Those who have completed their Matriculation, SSLC, Completion of Course, Act Apprenticeship in the aforementioned Trades can apply for these railway jobs for Assistant Loco Pilot posts. OR
- A three-year diploma program in automotive, electrical, mechanical, and electronic engineering. OR
- Applicants with degrees in the aforementioned engineering fields are also eligible to apply.
Application Fee : RRB ALP Recruitment 2024
The candidates have to mandatorily pay the required application fee while filling out their RRB ALP application form. Failure to pay the amount will lead to the rejection of your application.
- For All Candidates (except categories mentioned below at SI. No. 2) : Rs. 500/-
- For candidates who being to SC, ST, Ex-Serviceman, Female, Transgender, Minorities and Economically Backward Class (EBC) Candidates : Rs. 250/-
Selection Process : RRB ALP Recruitment 2024
The candidates will be selected as per the RRB ALP Recruitment 2024 Selection Process guidelines. Railway Zone and RRB-wise vacancies are released along with the notification pdf. Candidates can choose only one RRB and indicate their preference for the Railway zones.
- The first phase will be the Computer Based Test (CBT) in Stage I.
- The next phase will be the Stage II CBT (Computer Based Test).
- Examine aptitude using a computer (CBAT).
- Document Verification.
- Medical Assessment.

- Visit the Online Official Online Application / Registration link below.
- Fill in the required details correctly without any mistakes.
- Upload all required documents in the format and size mentioned in the notification.
- Finally, after verifying that the registered details are correct, then submit.
- Next, if Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) requires an application fee, make the payment as per the notification mode. Otherwise, go to the next step.
