Salary Details : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024

• The Consolidated pay for the candidates meeting the minimum experience requirement (i.e.3 years) is Rs.23,300/- per month. They will also be eligible for compensation for extra hours of work up to Rs.5,830/- per month.

Age Limit : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024

• a) The upper age limit prescribed for all the posts shall not exceed 45 years as on 30 December 2024, i.e. applicants should be born on or after 31 December 1979.
• b) The upper age limit is relaxable by 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 5 years for SC/ST candidates in posts reserved for them.
• c) The upper age limit shall be relaxable for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) & Ex-servicemen as per Government of India guidelines subject to a maximum age of 50 years.

A. Fabrication Assistants on Contract

1. Sheet Metal Worker

• Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Sheet Metal Worker.
• Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in fabrication, i.e. cutting, fit up and welding process.

2. Welder

• Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Welder/ Welder (Gas & Electric).
• Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

B. Outfit Assistants on Contract

1. Mechanic Diesel

• Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Mechanic Diesel.
• Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

2. Mechanic Motor Vehicle

• Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Mechanic Motor Vehicle.
• Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

3. Plumber

• Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Plumber
• Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

4. Painter

• Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Painter.
• Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade

5. Electrician

• Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Electrician.
• Minimum of three years post qualification experience / training in the relevant trade.

6. Electronic Mechanic

• Pass in SSLC and ITI – NTC (National Trade Certificate) in the trade of Electronic Mechanic.

7. Instrument Mechanic

Selection Process : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2024

The method of selection shall include Phase I - Objective type online test and Phase II Practical Test

• Phase I : Objective type online Test – 30 marks
• Phase II : Practical Test – 70 marks (Based on grades obtained in Practical test)
• Total-100 marks

In posts where the number of applicants are more, the practical test may be evaluated in grades which shall be converted into marks for final selection.
