- Naval Headquarters reserves the right to fix the cut off for shortlisting of applications for SSB based on JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) -2026. All candidates are required to fill their Rank as per Common Rank List (CRL) in the application. SSB interviews for shortlisted candidates will be scheduled at Bengaluru/ Bhopal/ Kolkata/ Visakhapatnam from Sep 2026 onwards.
- Shortlisted candidates will be informed about their selection for SSB interview through e-mail and SMS (provided by candidates in their application form). Candidates are advised not to change their e-mail/mobile number till selection process is over.
- Change of SSB Centre for examination/ interview is not permissible under any circumstances.
- Candidates are to download the call up letter on receiving intimation from Naval Headquarters via SMS/e-mail (provided by candidate in their application). Any correspondence regarding change of SSB dates should be addressed to the call up officer of the concerned SSB on receipt of call up letter.
- No compensation is admissible in case of any injury sustained as a result of tests during SSB interviews.
- AC 3 tier rail fare is admissible for the SSB interview, if appearing for the first time for particular type of commission. Candidates are required to bring photocopy of the first page of pass book or cheque leaf where the name, A/C No. & IFSC details are mentioned, while appearing for SSB.

1. What are the educational and age requirements for the 10+2 B.Tech entry scheme?
- To be eligible, you must have passed your Senior Secondary Examination (10+2 Pattern) or its equivalent with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM), and a minimum of 50% marks in English (in either Class X or Class XII).
- For this specific course (commencing January 2027) , candidates must be born between 02 Jul 2007 and 01 Jan 2010 (both dates inclusive).
- Yes. Only candidates who have appeared for the JEE (Main)-2026 exam (for B.E/ B.Tech) can apply. The shortlisting for the Service Selection Board (SSB) interview will be strictly based on the Common Rank List (CRL) published by the NTA.
There are a total of 60 vacancies divided equally between two branches:
- Mechanical Engineering: 30 vacancies
- Electronics & Communication Engineering: 30 vacancies
- Yes, both unmarried men and women can apply . However, there is a maximum cap of 08 vacancies reserved for women (04 for Mechanical and 04 for Electronics & Communication).
- The entire cost of training, including books and reading materials, is completely borne by the Indian Navy. Additionally, the Navy provides the selected cadets with entitled clothing and messing during their 4-year course.
- Important Note: You must remain unmarried during training. If a candidate marries while training, they will be discharged and forced to refund the full cost of training, pay, and allowances.
The selection follows a three-step procedure:
- Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their JEE (Main) 2026 Common Rank List (CRL).
- SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo SSB interviews at Bengaluru, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam starting from September 2026 onwards.
- Medical & Merit List: Candidates recommended by the SSB must pass the required medical examination. The final merit list is prepared based on SSB marks and medical fitness.
