Salary Details & Allowances : ITBP Recruitment 2026

• Pay Scale: Level-3 in Revised Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC Rs.21,700 - Rs.69,100).
• Allowances: Dearness Allowance, Ration Money, Washing Allowance, Special Compensatory Allowance (for border area posting), Free Uniform, Free Accommodation or HRA, Transport Allowance, Free Leave Pass, and Free Medical Facilities. Pension: Covered under the Restructured Defined Contributory Pension Scheme applicable from 01.01.2004.

• Matriculation (10th pass) or its equivalent from a recognized board.
• Sports Qualification: Candidates must have participated or won medal(s) in recognized competitions (International, Senior/Junior National, Inter-University, or Khelo India Games) between 01/01/2024 and 01/11/2026.

Physical & Medical Standards

Physical Standard Test (PST)

Height:

• Male: 170 cms | Female: 157 cms
• Relaxations: ST candidates (Male: 162.5 cm, Female: 150 cm); Candidates from North-Eastern States, Garhwalis, Kumaonis, Dogras, Marathas, J&K, Ladakh, etc., get specific standard relaxations.

Chest (Male Candidates Only):

• Unexpanded: 80 cms | Minimum Expansion: 5 cms
• Relaxations: ST (76 cm), Garhwalis/Kumaonis/NE States (77–78 cm) with 5 cm expansion.

Weight: Proportionate to height and age as per medical standards.

Medical Standards

• Eye Sight: Minimum distance vision 6/6 and 6/9 without correction. Colour blind individuals are not eligible.
• Must not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins, or squint.
• Tattoos: Allowed only for religious symbols/names on traditional sites (e.g., left inner forearm) and size must be less than 1/4 of the respective body part.
