1. Graduate Apprentices
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by a Statutory University in relevant discipline.
- A Degree in Engineering or Technology granted by an Institution empowered to grant such degree by an Act of Parliament in relevant discipline.
- Graduate examination of Professional bodies recognised by the State Government or Central Government as equivalent to above.
- Some Universities/Institutes/Examination Boards do not award Class or Percentage of marks and allot Aggregate Grade Points (e.g. CGPA/OGPA/CPI, etc.). In case University/Institute/Examination Board defines criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the same shall be accepted. However, where the University/ Institute/ Examination does not define criteria for conversion of Aggregate Grade Point into Class and/or percentage of marks, the Aggregate Grade Points shall be multiplied by 10 to get the required percentage of marks.

- There is no application fee required for Cochin Shipyard Recruitment
- A. Only candidates who are domicile of Kerala shall be considered. Short-listing of candidates for selection will be done based on the percentage of marks obtained in the basic prescribed qualification as applicable to the respective disciplines. In case, same percentage of marks is secured by more than one candidate in prescribed qualification, relative merit shall be decided based on seniority in age.
- B. Candidates short-listed for the certificate verification prior to selection should bring the original certificates towards proof of age, qualification, caste, disability (if any) etc. and selfattested copies of all these certificates, for verification and their candidature shall be considered on the strength of the original certificates. In case of failure to produce the original certificates, the candidature shall be rejected.
- C. Those candidates who successfully complete certificate verification shall be provisionally considered for selection against the notified training seats in the order of merit/reservation, subject to Medical fitness.

Physical Standards : As prescribed in Clause 4 of the Apprenticeship Rule 1992, and amendments thereof if any.
- Pass in X standard
- Pass in ITI (National Trade Certificate - NTC) in the concerned trades (Refer Table 1A)
- Pass in Vocational Higher Secondary Education (VHSE) in the concerned discipline (Refer Table IB).
Domicile : The candidate shall have their domicile (permanent address) in Kerala.
Reservation : Reservation shall be applicable as per Government of India Rules
Duration Of Training: The duration of Apprenticeship training will be for a period of one year as per Apprentices Act, 1961. Those who have undergone apprenticeship training in any other organization for any duration under the Apprentices Act, 1961 is not eligible to apply.

2. Project Assistant -Quality Inspection (Hull)
- Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Experience: Essential: – Minimum of two years of post qualification experience in performing various steel structural/welding inspections and carrying out quality control inspection as per quality standards and alignment of various equipments on vessels being repaired.
- Desirable:- Good communication skills and working knowledge in Hindi/Marathi.

- Experience: Essential: Minimum of two years of post qualification experience in conducting inspections of installation and commissioning of machinery as per Ship repair standards.

Age Limit : Cochin Shipyard Recruitment 2022
- The upper age limit prescribed for the posts shall not exceed 30 years as on 05 February 2022, i.e. applicants should be born or after 06 February 1992. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC candidates in posts reserved for them

1. Ship Design Assistant (Mechanical)
- Three year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Experience: a) Minimum of two years experience in a Shipyard or Engineering Company or Government / Semi- Government Company /Establishment or Private Design Establishment or Commercial Establishment.
- b) Advanced proficiency in Tribon is essential.
- Three year Diploma in Electrical Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Experience: a) Minimum of two years experience in a Shipyard or Engineering Company or Government / Semi- Government Company /Establishment or Private Design
- Establishment or Commercial Establishment.
- b) Advanced proficiency in Tribon is essential.
- Three year Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering with minimum 60% marks from a State Board of Technical Education.
- Experience: a) Minimum of two years experience in a Shipyard or Engineering Company or Government / Semi- Government Company /Establishment or Private Design Establishment or Commercial Establishment.
- b) Advanced proficiency in Tribon is essential.
