Salary Details : Indian Overseas Bank Recruitment 2026

Apprentices will receive a monthly stipend based on branch category:
  • Metro Branches: Rs.15,500 (Bank share: Rs.9,350 + Govt DBT share: Rs.6,150)
  • Urban Branches: Rs.14,500 (Bank share: Rs.8,350 + Govt DBT share: Rs.6,150)
  • Semi-Urban / Rural Branches: Rs.14,000 (Bank share: Rs.7,850 + Govt DBT share: Rs.6,150)

Age Limit : Indian Overseas Bank Recruitment 2026
  • Minimum 20 years and Maximum 28 years for General/EWS candidates (Born between 01.07.1998 and 01.07.2006, both dates inclusive).
  • Relaxation: SC/ST gets 5 years, OBC (NCL) gets 3 years, and PwBD gets 10 years. Candidates registered under NAPS should be under 34 years as of the cut-off date.


Qualification : Indian Overseas Bank Recruitment 2026
  • A Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized University.
For NATS registered candidates: The graduation result must have been declared between 01.03.2022 and 31.07.2026 inclusive.
  • Exclusions: Candidates who have already undergone an apprenticeship, are currently pursuing training, or have 1 year or more of job/training experience after graduation are NOT eligible. Ex-servicemen are also not eligible.

  • SC/ST/PwBD: Rs.200 + 18% GST = Rs.236/-
  • General/OBC/EWS (Female): Rs.600 + 18% GST = Rs.708/-

Selection Process : Indian Overseas Bank Recruitment 2026

Selection consists of an Online Examination, followed by a Test of Local Language and document verification.

1. Online Written Examination (90 Minutes)

The pattern is objective type:
  • General/Financial Awareness (25 Qs / 25 Marks)
  • General English (25 Qs / 25 Marks)
  • Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude (25 Qs / 25 Marks)
  • Computer or Subject Knowledge (25 Qs / 25 Marks) Total: 100 Questions / 100 Marks
Mode: Remote online exam using the candidate’s own camera-enabled desktop/laptop/tablet/smartphone.

Qualifying Marks: Overall minimum aggregate percentage as decided by the Bank (5% relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD). No individual subject section cut-off.
 
2. Test of Local Language
  • Conducted during document verification. Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the applied state. If a candidate has studied the opted local language in 10th or 12th standard (evidenced by a mark sheet/certificate), they are exempted from this test.
