Salary Details : Indian Air force Agniveer Recruitment 2026
  • Tenure: Enrolment is initially for 20 years, extendable up to 57 years of age.
  • Stipend During Training: Rs.14,600 per month
  • Starting Gross Emoluments (Post Training): Minimum of Rs.26,900 per month (including Military Service Pay) plus Dearness Allowance.

For Diploma / B. Pharma / B.Sc in Pharmacy Candidates:

Upper Age Limit at Enrolment: Maximum 21 years for 10+2 entry and 24 years for Pharmacy entry.



Qualification : Indian Air force Agniveer Recruitment 2026

1. 10+2 / Intermediate Entry
  • Passed 10+2 / Intermediate / Equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English from recognized boards with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English. OR passed a 2-year vocational course with the same subjects and percentage criteria.
2. Pharmacy Entry
  • Passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English (min 50% aggregate & 50% in English) AND possess a Diploma / B. Pharma / B.Sc in Pharmacy with minimum 50% marks in aggregate along with a valid registration from the State Pharmacy Council or Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) at the time of enrolment.
Note: Fractional marks will not be rounded off (e.g., 49.99% will be treated as 49%).

Mandatory Medical & Physical Standards
  • Height: Minimum 152 cms
  • Chest: Well-proportioned with a minimum circumference of 77 cm and a minimum expansion of 5 cm
  • Weight: Proportionate to height and age
  • Hearing: Normal (able to hear a forced whisper from 5 meters away with each ear separately)
  • Dental: Healthy gums, good teeth set with a minimum of 14 dental points. No dental implants or fixed orthodontic appliances allowed.
  • Visual Acuity: 6/36 each eye, correctable to 6/6 each eye. Refractive error limit not exceeding 3.50D including astigmatism. Colour vision must be CP-III.
  • Tattoos & Restrictions: Permanent body tattoos are generally barred, except on the inner face of forearms, back of the hand, or specific tribal custom tattoos. LASIK/PRK history is not acceptable.

Selection Process : Indian Air force Agniveer Recruitment 2026

Phase-I: Online Test (Objective Type)
  • Duration: 45 minutes
  • Subjects: English (10+2 CBSE Syllabus) and Reasoning & General Awareness (RAGA)
  • Bilingual: Questions are in English and Hindi (except the English language paper).
Marking Scheme:
  • +1 mark for every correct answer
  • 0 marks for un-attempted questions
  • -0.25 marks deducted for each wrong answer
Note: Normalization of marks may be applied across sessions to calculate cut-offs.

Phase-II: Physical Fitness & Adaptability Tests

Candidates qualifying Phase-I must report to a designated Airmen Selection Centre (ASC) with their original documents.

Physical Fitness Test 1 (PFT-1): 1.6 Km run to be completed:
  • Within 7 minutes (for candidates up to 21 years old).
  • Within 7 minutes 30 seconds (for candidates above 21 years holding Pharmacy qualifications).
Physical Fitness Test 2 (PFT-2): Done after a 10-minute break. Includes:
  • 10 Push-ups (within 1 minute)
  • 10 Sit-ups (within 1 minute)
  • 20 Squats (within 1 minute)
Adaptability Test-I & II: Objective written tests to check the candidate's suitability for deployment in varied geographic terrains, weather conditions, and the military way of life.

Phase-III: Medical Examination
  • Conducted by an Air Force Medical Team and includes baseline blood tests, urine analysis, biochemistry profiles, chest X-rays, and ECGs.
  • Unfit candidates can appeal through the Appeal Medical Board (AMB) by paying a ₹40 fee
