- Scope: Open market candidates.
- Apportionment Rules: * Vacancies reported from MATSYAFED will be apportioned in the ratio 5:3:2 among General (Part I), Fishermen/Dependents (Part II), and Society Category (Part III)., Vacancies from other Apex Societies (non-MATSYAFED) will be split 1:1 between Part I (General) and Part II (Society).
- Reservation: Standard reservation rules (General Rules 14 to 17 of KS&SSR 1958) apply. 4% reservation is allocated for Differently Abled candidates.

- Eligibility: Exclusive to individuals belonging to the Fishermen or Dependent of Fishermen community.

Qualification : Kerala Matsyafed Recruitment 2026
1. General Category (Category No. 086/2026)
- Qualification: Pass in S.S.L.C or its equivalent.
- Special Requirements: Open to all general candidates possessing the basic qualification within the prescribed age limit of 18 to 44 years.
- Primary Condition: Applicant must be a Fisherman or a Dependent of a Fisherman.
- Educational Qualification: Pass in S.S.L.C or its equivalent.
- Definitions (As per Notification): Fisherman: Any person engaged mainly in fishing operations for their livelihood., Dependent: Wife, Husband, Son, Daughter, Father, or Mother of deceased sons/daughters wholly dependent on the fisherman.
- Mandatory Certificate Requirement: Candidates must obtain and upload a Dependency Certificate at the time of submitting their application., The Revenue Official (Village Officer / Tahsildar) issues this Dependency Certificate based on an inquiry and certificate issued by the Fisheries Officer concerned., Applications submitted without uploading the Dependency Certificate will be summarily rejected.
- Service Requirement: 1. Must have 3 years of regular service in any post in the member societies affiliated to MATSYAFED as on the date of application. 2. Must continue in the service of the member society as on the date of appointment. (Note: This requirement does not apply to those recruited through Kerala PSC to a post in MATSYAFED reserved for co-operative society employees, provided they continue in that service ).
- Educational Qualification: Pass in S.S.L.C or its equivalent.
- Mandatory Certificate Requirement: Candidates must obtain and upload a Service Certificate at the time of application submission., The Service Certificate must be issued and signed by the Assistant Registrar (General) of the Co-operative Department., The certificate must detail the candidate's name, post(s) held, scale of pay, period of regular service, name of affiliated member society, date of affiliation, and date of commencement of regular service.
