Qualification : ISRO VSSC Kerala Recruitment 2026

1. Graduate Apprentice
  • Engineering Disciplines: First Class Engineering Degree (Four-year or Three-year duration for lateral entry) from a recognized University in the respective field with not less than 65% marks or 6.84 CGPA.
  • Eligible Engineering Streams: Aeronautical/Aerospace, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Metallurgy, Production, and Fire & Safety Engineering.
  • Hotel Management / Catering Technology: First Class Degree in Hotel Management / Catering Technology from a recognized University with not less than 60% marks.
  • General Stream (Non-Engineering) Graduates: Three-year duration Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University with not less than 60% marks or 6.32 CGPA.
Note: The training for this stream will be in administrative areas such as Administration, Finance & Accounts, and Purchase.
 
2. Technician Apprentice
  • Engineering Diploma Disciplines: First Class Diploma in Engineering (Three years duration) from a State Board of Technical Education.
  • Eligible Diploma Streams: Automobile, Chemical, Civil, Computer Science/Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, Instrument Technology, and Mechanical Engineering.
  • Diploma in Commercial Practice: Three years duration Diploma in Commercial Practice from a State Board of Technical Education with not less than 6.32 CGPA.

Q1: When and where is the VSSC Apprentice Selection Drive taking place?
  • Ans: The selection drive will take place on 25.07.2026 (Saturday) from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM at Karthika Thirunal Govt. V&GHSS for Girls, Manacaud, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala.
Q2: Can I apply online or send my application by post before the drive?
  • Ans: No. Applications will only be received in person at the selection drive venue on 25.07.2026. No other mode of application is accepted.
Q3: What is the monthly stipend for Graduate and Technician Apprentices?
  • Ans: Graduate Apprentices will receive ₹12,300/- per month, and Technician (Diploma) Apprentices will receive ₹10,900/- per month.
Q4: I graduated in March 2022. Am I eligible to apply?
  • Ans: No. Candidates who completed their Degree/Diploma before April 2022 are explicitly NOT eligible.
Q5: I am currently awaiting my final semester results. Can I attend the walk-in drive?
  • Ans: No. Result-awaiting candidates and those appearing for their final year exams are NOT eligible to apply.
Q6: What are the minimum marks/CGPA required for Engineering Graduates?
  • Ans: You must have a first-class Engineering Degree with at least 65% marks or a 6.84 CGPA. Note that converting CGPA to percentage to meet eligibility is strictly prohibited.
Q7: Will candidates from states outside the Southern Region be considered?
  • Ans: First priority is given to candidates from the Southern Region of BOAT (Kerala, TN, Karnataka, AP, Telangana, and Puducherry). Candidates from other states will only be considered if vacancies remain unfilled.
Q8: Does VSSC provide accommodation during the training period?
  • Ans: No. VSSC provides canteen and transport facilities, but candidates must arrange their own accommodation.
Q9: Does completing this apprenticeship guarantee a permanent job in ISRO/VSSC?
  • Ans: No. Completion of the one-year training does not confer any right or claim for permanent employment in any ISRO or Department of Space unit.
Q10: What documents do I need to bring to the venue?
  • Ans: You must bring your Original Documents along with self-attested copies of your Degree/Diploma certificate, Consolidated Mark list, SSLC/SSC certificate (for DOB proof), a passport-size photo, and your caste/category certificate (OBC-NCL/EWS/SC/ST/PWBD) if applicable.
